AFSCME's elected bargaining team has begun the process of negotiating with the State of Maryland for our Memorandum of Understanding. As a reminder, you can read the update using the log in information at the top of the most recent newsletter. This update is intended for members of AFSCME Maryland's bargaining unit only.
While we collectively bargain a contract for the largest portion of state and higher education employees, many of the precedents set in our contract can impact the entire state workforce. To that end, we are also surveying our membership in state units and are happy to hear from all state employees.
