Maryland corrections worker union plans protest over staffing

“Over the past two and a half years, Gov. (Larry) Hogan has shown disrespect and negligence in his actions toward state employees and the Marylanders they serve,” Jazzmen Knoderer, a spokeswoman for AFSCME Maryland, said in a statement announcing the news conference. "In Western Maryland, where there is a high concentration of state employees, the Hogan administration has short staffed state-run offices and institutions, putting employees and the public at risk."
