Convention 2026

The AFSCME Maryland Council 3 Biennal Convention will convene at XX:XX PM on Friday, October XX, 2026 at the Stamp Student Union Building at the University of Maryland College Park and adjourn at the end of the day on Saturday, October XX upon the completion of its business.

If your schedule has changed and you can no longer attend this convention, please email info@afscmemd.org as soon as you can.

Below are some important reminders for this convention:

Registration

The convention will be in the Stamp Student Union (3972 Campus Dr, College Park, MD 20742). Registration will be in the Prince George's Room in the building. Convention will take place in the Colony Ballroom on the second floor.  

In-person registration of delegates/alternates will take place on Thursday, October 24 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, October 25 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Registration will officially close at 12:30 PM on Friday, October 25.

Parking & Getting to Stamp Student Union

Once you arrive at the University of Maryland College Park campus, please park at Union Lane Garage. We have secured 150 parking spots, so please complete the survey if you need a parking space [need survey link].

The Union Lane Garage is directly across the street from Stamp, as shown in the map below.

Hotel

If you are staying at the hotel on campus, it’s called The Hotel at The University of Maryland College Park. The address is: 7777 Baltimore Ave., College Park, MD 20740. It's also labeled with a “3” in the map above. If you have any questions about your confirmation number or issues as you are checking in, please call Greta at 410-949-4956. Check in is at 4 PM.
