Statement on Passing of Question 1

Baltimore — Below is a statement from AFSCME Maryland Council 3 regarding the passage of Question 1:

AFSCME members across Maryland are celebrating the passage of Question 1!

For several years, our members have tirelessly advocated for a fair negotiations process that holds all parties accountable and ensures good faith negotiations. Last night, we achieved that victory.

Moving forward, our state employees can have confidence that our collective bargaining rights will be respected and honored with a fair negotiations process.

On behalf of the thousands of state employees that our union represents, thank you to the voters of Maryland for standing with us and a big congratulations to our members for this significant victory!
