Join our rally calling on University System of Maryland leadership to honor our negotiated raises and to stop the layoffs!

USM is refusing to honor our union contract. They are denying both the 2.5% merit increase and the $500 base pay raise in our union contract for more than 6,000 AFSCME members, even though the State of Maryland has fully funded these wage increases.

AFSCME members across USM are fighting back. Our message to the USM is clear: you signed this master contract, so fund it.

To add insult to injury, Bowie State University is saying they may need to layoff 30 bargaining unit members. Enough is enough. You can’t treat staff like we are expendable.

At noon on Thursday, May 7th, meet at the Student Center and march together to the Administration Building.
